Corrections policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 3 November 2026 · YK Global FZC LLC

We publish material that people use to make decisions about regulatory obligations and system design. Some of it will turn out to be wrong, or will stop being right as a regulation changes. This page says what we do about that.

1. How to report an error

Email info@ykglobal.ae with the page or article, the statement you believe is incorrect, and - if you have one - a source. You do not need to be a client, and you do not need to be certain. A report that turns out to be mistaken costs us a few minutes; an error we never hear about can cost a reader considerably more.

2. What we do

We acknowledge every report, and we aim to do so within five working days.

We then verify the claim against its source. We do not deliberately set a turnaround for the correction itself, because a technical or regulatory point sometimes takes longer to establish than it takes to report, and a published deadline we could not always meet would be a worse commitment than none. What we will do is tell you what we found and what we changed.

3. How a correction is made

A correction creates a new version of the item. The previous versions are retained with their content hashes, so the record of what was published, and when, is not overwritten by the fix. A correction is subject to the same review and approval as the original - described in our editorial policy.

4. How a correction is shown

  • A substantive correction - one that changes the meaning, the advice, or a figure someone might act on - is noted on the item, with the date and what changed. We do not silently edit a claim that readers may already have relied on.
  • A typographical or formatting fix that does not change meaning is made without a note.
  • Material that is no longer accurate and cannot be corrected in place - a regulation that has since changed, for example - is marked as superseded with the date, rather than quietly deleted. Removing it would break the links of anyone who cited it and would hide that we ever said it.

5. Withdrawal

We will withdraw an item entirely where it is wrong in a way a correction cannot repair, where it breaches a confidentiality obligation, or where we do not have the right to publish it. A withdrawn item’s address returns a withdrawal notice rather than disappearing.

6. If you disagree with our conclusion

Say so, and ask for it to be looked at again. If we conclude the original was correct we will tell you why and point to the source. If a disagreement concerns a factual statement about you or your organisation and we cannot resolve it, we will record your position alongside ours rather than leave only our own.

7. Scope

This policy covers the pages of this site, our articles and guides, and material we publish on other platforms. Contractual deliverables for clients are handled under the relevant engagement terms rather than here - see our terms of business.
